Last Weekend Update...

Thank you to those who came to our Girls Night Out last Friday night and for those who stopped by our Open House last Saturday afternoon! We had a great time and loved helping you find some Sorella Fashions for you and your loved ones!

We will be announcing our WINNER of the $30 Sorella Fashions gift card tomorrow. So if you were a part of our last weekend festivities, check back tomorrow and see if it is you!

We've decided to leave our collection up through this next week. If you weren't able to browse our fashions and are still interested, please send us an email to set up a time to stop on by. It's Not Too Late to Shop!

*On a sad side note, my mums have taken a nose dive and are no longer glorious to look at plus I had to throw away some of my pumpkins already too. Boo. With my love for fall and being a Thanksgiving purest (my favorite holiday), I will not start decorating our home or think Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving. So cheers to our last week of fall festivities! It is time to get my bake on!

Thankfulness...

Fall is my favorite season and sadly it is here and gone in a flash around these parts. I have at least made a conscience choice to stop and take in the beautiful scenery as the season changes. Most of the time, its while I'm driving my Kindergartener to and from activities, pointing out the noticeable beauty from my drivers seat window.

I am thankful... for the breathtaking sites as the leaves pop with color! I love driving up to my house and seeing the multicolored mums that are planted and the array of assorted pumpkins sitting on my front stoop. I love sitting on the couch under a warm plush blanket and looking at the festive decor in my house.

The smells of the fall season are some of my favorites! The amazing scent of pumpkin chocolate chip muffins (mini size are my favorite) baking in the oven, apple cider on the stove, and wood burning in the fireplace. I think the simplest pleasure is the joy I find in pulling out my holiday candles. There is something about lighting them and letting the aroma pierce the house, it just makes me so happy! This year my favorite scent came from Bath & Body Works. It's a candle called Autumn and it smells amazing. They made it in two colors, cream & olive and it is fabulous!

I don't mind the cooler weather so much because I get to layer my clothes! I love sweaters, boots, fun coats and hats. I enjoy chunky wood jewelry & beaded blingy necklaces in autumn shades of brown, gold, navy and olives.

This time of year, I find myself thinking about soups & stews. Hearty & warm dishes. Caramel apples, pumpkin & turtle cookies, and Holiday coffee drinks! My taste buds are going wild and I'm loving every minute!

I think I love this season of the year the most because it feels homey & reminds me of family! There is an reminder to slow down, be aware of the beauty around you and a spirit of thankfulness for the blessings in your life! I have so enjoyed Autumn walks & conversations with my mom, cozy laid back Saturdays spent with my boys, baking with my son and celebrating the joys in the life of my friends!

Looking for Photographer...

Here are some more custom made Sorella Fashions!

I love how many of you are taking family pictures right now! Especially during this beautiful time of year. You all put me to shame. I think the last time I got my son's picture taken professionally was when he was 13 months olds. Um, he is now 5. Plus we've never taken a professional family picture. This needs to happen.

I have a certain style in mind of what I'd like the pictures to look like. I'd love to know if you have a professional photographer that you love? I'm looking for someone in the Western Suburbs of Chicago. Who would you highly recommend? Any help would be appreciated!

Look at these precious dresses! I love how unique the colors are and I can't wait to see how these pictures turned out for the family, especially for these precious little sisters.

These fashions were made to coordinate with these cute outfits for a very adorable & fashionable 2 yr. old's birthday!

I am going to be an Aunt! A couple weeks ago, we did a whirlwind trip to Ohio, for the celebration of this new little blessing who will make her debut around Christmastime! I had so much fun picking out these outfits and making these matching Sorella Fashions headbands! Now she just needs to get here so she can start accessorizing!

Creative Carvings & Halloween Fashions...

I can't believe that October is coming to an end so soon. Halloween is already next Monday and I'm starting to feel like I'm behind on all the fall festivities. We still need to go to Sonny Acres, carve pumpkins & bake pumpkin seeds. I'd also love to take some fall family pictures if possible. Time is ticking.

I have to share these amazingly fun pumpkin creations with you that my friend Aubrey makes every year with her kids. I just love the Mr. Potato Head pieces and the variety of pumpkins she uses, even a gourd! What fun little characters these are and there is NO carving mess. I might have to give this a try next year.
